Independence Day Celebrations Kicks Off at DUHS

KARACHI- The preparations for Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations have started at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in full swing.


Dow Medical College (DMC) as well as Ojha Campus have been decorated to mark the celebrations. Students have shown a great deal of enthusiasm, by wearing ‘Azaadi’ themed- green and white dressing, along with accessories like badges of Pakistan’s flag.


In connection of Independence Day, a Declamation Contest in both Urdu and English languages will also be held on 11th August, 2018. The topic decided for the English declamation contest is “My Dream of Pakistan,” while for Urdu language, the topic is, “Ye Khak Watan hai Jan Apni.” Students have shown keen interest in participating in this segment.


Moreover, Flag hoisting ceremony will be held on the day of Independence, 14th August 2018. The flag will be hoisted by the Vice Chancellor of DUHS  Prof Dr. Mohammad Saeed Quraishy.
