KARACHI: The newly constructed gateway connecting Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) was inaugurated recently to facilitate both institutions' faculty, staff, and students. The gateway means to provide easy access for students and faculty into the clinical area, a need that was a long time coming.
Prof Shahid Rasul, Executive Director JPMC and Acting Vice-Chancellor JSMU, formally opened the gateway. He expressed his determination to deepen the associations of both Institutions, dedicating the gateway to the alumni of the University.
Dr Azam Khan, the registrar and Dr Rahat Naz, Director of Affiliated Colleges and In charge of Alumni Affairs, organised the inaugural ceremony with the JSMU Alumni to recognise Prof. Shahid Rasul's efforts for the JSMU and JPMC alliance.
Furthermore, Prof Lubna Ansari Baig, Dean of Medicine, Prof Masroor Ahmed, Chairperson (AIPH-JSMU), Prof Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi, Principal (SMC-JSMU), Prof Zubair Ahmed Abbasi, Principal (SIOHS-JSMU), and members of the alumni including Prof Mukarram Ali, Prof Sameer Qureshi, and Dr Shahabullah also attended the inaugural event.
