Karachi Administrator Chairs KMDC Governing Body Meeting

KARACHI: Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Administrator of Karachi, recently headed the governing body of a meeting regarding the Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) and its situation.

Syeda Shehla Raza, Provincial Minister, Afzal Zaidi, Metropolitan Commissioner, Dr Abdul Waheed Jamani, Prof. Dr Farid Dawood, Dr Akmal Waheed, and other members of the governing body were also present at this meeting.

Mr Murtaza said that court orders would be fully implemented while immediate steps would be taken to improve the current condition of the college. A third-party audit of the college will be conducted under the supervision of the Karachi Metropolitan Company (KMC). He further added that complete steps would be ensured to make Karachi Medical and Dental College a functioning university.

“I will personally visit the college and review the problems, so we can solve the problems faced by the teachers, students and staff. “ he assured the meeting attendees.

The Administrator emphasized that KMDC is providing medical education to students coming from lower to middle socioeconomic groups and advised those students to pay full attention to their education to succeed and make their nation proud.
