Qadir Patel to look into the matter of PHRC pension matter

ISLAMABAD: PHRC has not paid pension for the past two and a half years, and the pension rights of around 200 retired and widowed employees of Pakistan Health Research Council (PHRC) have been withheld.

Qadir Patel to investigate Pension Matter of PHRC

Abdul Qadir Patel promised that he will thoroughly investigate the pension difficulties of PHRC retirees.

Abdul Qadir Patel assured that he will thoroughly look into the matter of pension related issues of retired employees of PHRC. Abdul Qadir Patel, Minister of National Health Services (NHS), said that he would investigate the matter and direct the NHS secretary to handle it as soon as possible.

As a reminder, retired employees of Pakistan's Medical Research Council (PHRC), formerly known as the Pakistan Medical Research Council (PMRC), have been unable to obtain their pensions. Founded in 1962, the PMRC was taken over by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1985 after the Ministry of Health took it over. Pensions for retired workers were paid till 2017. However, pensions have not been paid to retirees since January 2019.
