KP health minister launches projects at Hayatabad Medical Complex

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah inaugurated various public welfare projects during his recent visit to the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC). 
The minister was briefed on the launch of the Free Drugs Bank for underprivileged cardiac patients at the Heart Linq Cardiology Department by Cardiology head Dr. Shah Sawar, aimed to provide lifesaving medicines to those in need without financial burden.
Dr Sawar also introduced the minister to the newly established Executive Clinic, which uses state-of-the-art technologies to expand access to specialized cardiac care. 
Faisal Khan briefed the minister on the new Telemedicine Services, which employ modern technology to offer remote healthcare.
Those present also included HMC Board of Governors Chairman Dr. Amjid Faheem, Medical Director Prof. Dr. Shehzad Akbar, Director of Administration Dr. Sherzaman, and Clinical Coordinator Dr. Muhammad Shah.
In his address, the minister commended the vision behind these projects, reiterating the government’s commitment to equitable healthcare for all. He also lauded Dr. Sawar and his team for their innovative efforts in overcoming healthcare challenges.
He said the launch of these vital services marks an important step towards realizing the provincial government’s vision of a prosperous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, prioritizing the well-being of its citizens.
Earlier, upon his arrival, the minister was warmly welcomed by the IDF-HMC President Dr. Nazeef Ullah.
