PESHAWAR: A representative for the Department of Livestock informed that in the past 24 hours, over 67 animals have perished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) from lumpy skin disease (LSD).
A spokesman for the province's Livestock Department indicated that, according to the data, 631 animals have died in KP, and the region's death rate is rapidly increasing.

The spokesman said that 112 animals died in the Kuram agency due to the devastating lumpy skin virus. In comparison, 85 animals perished in Peshawar, and 80 passed in the province's Bannu district.
According to the information, 775 animals in KP were infected by a lumpy skin illness during the course of 24 hours. In KP, the total number of animals infected by the illness has climbed to 13,856.
In addition, the spokesman reported that the southern portion of the province was the most affected by the sickness. According to reports, more than 94,000 animals have been inoculated thus far.
Eid ul Azha is quickly approaching, and the condition that causes lumpy skin has raised worries among those who purchase animals for sacrifice.
The livestock department mandated that cattle producers vaccinate each animal before selling it to customers.
