Provincial Nurses Association demands higher allowances

KARACHI - General Secretary, Provincial Nurses Association (PNA) Karachi Division, Abdul Wahid has demanded of the provincial government to increase the mess and dress allowances of nursing staff in Sindh province, on  the pattern of federal and other provinces.

He expressed these views chairing a meeting of office-bearers of PNA Karachi Division, held here in Karachi. President PNA Salamati Khokhar, Enayat Ullah Khokhar, Heera Lal, Khuda Bux, Aishwer Das, Shahid Yasmeen, Shahid Bukhari, Azza Anwar, Nasreen Gill, Ayaz Panwar and others also attended the meeting. 

Abdul Wahid said federal government is giving a running basic pay, while Punjab and Baluchistan governments are giving Rs 3100 dress and Rs 8000 on mess allowance to the nursing staff, working on BPS-16. He said Sindh Government gives Rs 600 per nursing staff, for dress and Rs 300 for mess allowance.

He demanded of the provincial government to revise allowances policy and increase the allowances for the nursing community on the pattern of federal and other provinces in order to end the uncertainty and dissatisfaction prevalent among nursing staff.
