LAHORE: Yasmin Rashid, Minister of Health, Punjab, highlighted the gravity of malignancy on World Cancer Day.
She stated that cancer was a rapidly spreading disease globally. Every year 10 million people in the world die due to cancer. The government was taking basic steps to reduce the cancer rate in the province.
She added To live a healthy life, everyone should adopt a healthy lifestyle. Eating a balanced diet, regular exercise and exercise, smoking cessation, obesity and weight gain and prevention of radiation and air pollution are the only solutions for living a healthy life.
She stressed that symptoms of cancer include the formation of tumours in any part of the body, persistent weight loss, formation of ulcerative colitis in the mouth and excretion of abnormal body fluids.
She enlightened the audience that to get information about any disease, including cancer or its treatment, contact the helpline of Punjab Health Department 1033. She urged everyone to take care of themselves and emphasised that early diagnosis can be beneficial for patients.
