LARKANA- A unified sub-committee has been formed by Sindh Health Department, covering every district of Sindh, in order to supervise and purchase 15 % medicines under Local Purchase (LP) for all tertiary, primary and district health facilities.
Previously formed procurement committees have been notified and abolished.
The new committee comprises of District and Session Judges of relevant districts as Chairmen of the committee, whereas members include relevant District Health Officers, Medical Superintendents, Deputy Commissioners and District Accounts Officers.
This committee has been formed to evaluate the demands of concerned health facilities, so as to ensure the acquirement of 15% medicines under LP. The delivery and relocation of these medicines to various health facilities is also the committee’s responsibility.
Inspection of the procured items through Local Purchase (LP) and Central Rate Contract System (CRCS) will also be performed by the unified sub committee.
