KARACHI: In a successful raid, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) seized fake drugs, machinery, and medical equipment worth millions of rupees from a premises in Orangi Town.
According to the FIA spokesman, the manufacturing and packing of fake medicines were going on unchecked in a factory located in a residential area.
He said that a large quantity of suspected medicines, including a batch of antibiotic drugs, being packed in the factory was seized and the owner, along with other suspects, was also arrested during the raid.
According to the arrested suspects, the spurious drugs were being supplied to various cities.
