KARACHI- Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) and other professional bodies of doctors have announced “Medics for Kashmir” demonstrations at Karachi and Islamabad.
The doctors and other healthcare workers, including medical students, will participate to show solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and protest against Indian atrocities and human rights violation in Kashmir.
This was stated by Prof Muhammad Afzal Mian, Central President PIMA in a statement issued. He announced that in Karachi, PIMA along with Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and other professional societies will hold a demonstration on September 5th at Press Club.
The next day on 6th September, doctors will gather in Islamabad and march towards D-Chowk from Kalsoom Plaza, Blue area at 02pm.
PIMA President said that the curfew in the occupied Kashmir had entered day 30th, and that there was a complete commutation and communication barrier. The reports are coming about the shortage of food and lifesaving drugs from the valley which could risk the lives of thousands of Kashmiri including children and women.
He expressed severe concerns over the silence of the world on this impending humanitarian crisis.
