It's been reported that the former administration had a goal of elevating Daanish education to a national level of excellence. A centre of excellence for Daanish schools has yet to be established in the last three and half years.
Among these schools are Govt Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, Ghorey Shah; Central Model School, Rattigan Road; and Govt High School, Samanabad. DSA will take care of all the schools' issues, including teacher shortages, infrastructure and other costs. Efforts to turn over schools to the DSA have already begun at the Punjab Schools Education Department.
On February 24, 2010, the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority (PDS&CEA) Act was passed, paving the way for the establishment of the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority to provide quality Elementary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary Education to underprivileged students as well as students from other segments of society.
The Authority administers and operates a one-of-a-kind combination of boarding schools (Daanish) and day schools (Daanish Academy) ( Centres of Excellence).
Located all over Punjab, the schools provide high-quality education to kids from underprivileged backgrounds as well as from other areas of society, with a particular emphasis on promoting social mobility and literacy upward among students throughout the province.
