PMA slams Sabeen’s murder

KARACHI-  Pakistan Medical Association’s (PMA) Karachi chapter has strongly condemned the brutal killing of human rights activist and social worker, Sabeen Mehmood, who was recently shot dead in the city. 

Voicing serious concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the metropolis, the meeting said: “It appears that the murder of Sabeen is a case of targeted killing just to silence a sane and liberal voice as she was always instrumental in arranging discussions on issues, including social, political and literary.”

The participants of the meeting unanimously resolved that a high-level judicial inquiry should be conducted to solve this case and identify the hidden hands involved in this cold-blooded murder.

PMA demanded an exemplary punishment for all the culprits involved in the heinous crime.
