Health dept, JICA discuss new complex at Children’s Hospital Multan

LAHORE: The Punjab health department will construct a four-storey complex at Children’s Hospital Multan with the help of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Pakistan, offering diagnostic, radiology, and other treatment facilities for patients.

This was announced by Punjab health ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir during a meeting with a JICA) Pakistan delegation at the Project Management Unit (PMU).

Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, Additional Technical Secretary Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, and members of the Children’s Hospital Multan administration were also present.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed the development of the four-storey complex at Children’s Hospital Multan. The JICA Pakistan delegation appreciated the health department's improvement plans.

Khawaja Salman welcomed the JICA Pakistan delegation and thanked them for their cooperation in the proposed project.

Khawaja Imran Nazir announced that construction of the new complex at Children’s Hospital Multan would commence next year, to enhance the hospital’s capacity and efficiency.

The health secretary confirmed that an agreement with JICA Pakistan is forthcoming, with another meeting scheduled for next week.
