NICH embarks upon development plans

KARACHI- The National Institute of Child Health (NICH) administration with a view to improving patients’ care has embarked upon a project of constructing new neurology and gastro-enteritis departments.

According to NICH’s director Prof Jamal Raza, construction of neurology and gastro-enteritis departments have begun with the financial assistance of Sindh government under its Annual Development Programme (ADP) and both the projects are expected to be accomplished within two years.

Elaborating, the NICH chief said that both the neurology and gastro-enteritis departments will have 25 beds each, OPD service, operation theatres and other facilities. With the addition of these two new departments, patients’ care in the Sindh’s biggest health care facility will improve manifold, he added.
