KARACHI- A middle-aged man was found afflicted with the deadly naegleria fowleri, commonly known as the brain-eating amoeba, at a private hospital in the city.
According to sources, a man identified as 40-year-old Sarfraz, was admitted to a major private hospital in a precarious condition. He hails from Thatta.
An official of Sindh health department said that the report sent by the management of the hospital confirmed that the tests of the patient showed that he was afflicted with the deadly disease.
Prior to this new case of naegleria fowler, two citizens of Karachi - a teenage girl and a man – had become victim of the deadly disease.
