LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has been appreciated by a World Health Organization (WHO) delegation recently for her public welfare initiatives, pledging support.
The delegation met with Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) to discuss mutual interests. The discussion centered on collaborative efforts and strategies to combat hepatitis in Punjab.
Dr. Meg Darthy, WHO's Global Director for HIV, affirmed the organization's commitment to working with the provincial health department to tackle hepatitis effectively.
