SBTA directs for blood availability during Ramadan

KARACHI: Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA) has directed the administrator of all regional blood centres and public/private and NGO run blood banks to ensure the availability of blood and blood products during the holy month of Ramadan. 

On the directives of Secretary, Health Department, Sindh, all heads of public/ private/NGOs blood banks were instructed to make necessary arraignments of sufficient amount of blood/blood products in order to meet the requirements and to avoid any difficulty to the community especially patients of thalassemia, haemophilia and other hemoglobinopathies during the holy month of Ramazan.
