KARACHI: President,
Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association (PPMSA), Sindh, Muhammad Ismail Jiskani demanded the government of Sindh to give hard-area allowance to health support staff or non-technical medical staff of
Thar District which was announced by CM Sindh, earlier.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at
Karachi Press Club (KPC). General Secretary
PPMSA,
Karachi, Haq Nawaz Siyal, Coordinator,
PPMSA,
Thar District, Naresh Kumar, Habib Noor, Iftikhar Ahmed and others were also present on this occasion.
Ismail Jiskani said Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah had approved Rs 290million grant to give hard-area allowance to specialists, medical officers, paramedical staff and health support staff or non-technical staff to bring improvements in patient care in
Thar district.
He said around 700 specialists, medical officers and paramedical staff have been receiving hard-area allowance in district
Thar since the last two months but unfortunately over 1200 support staff or non-technical staff from grade-01 to grade-15 have been deprived of hard-area allowance in district.
He demanded of the CM Sindh, Health Minister, Chief Secretary, Secretary Health, Secretary Finance and other high-ups of department to implement hard-area allowance for non-technical paramedical staff of
Thar district in order to end the uncertainty prevalent in non-technical staff working far-flung areas of
Thar district.
