Sindh Health Department to Introduce a Monitoring Software for LHWs and LHSs

KARACHI- Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, during a meeting, informed that the Health Department has planned to introduce a software to improve healthcare delivery system in Sindh, specially to monitor the performance of Lady Health Workers (LHWs) and Lady Health Supervisors (LHS), across the province.


Additional Chief Secretary Health, Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar, Secretary Population Welfare, Mr. Laiq Ahmed and other officers also attended the meeting.


Dr. Azra added that, with the help of this software it would be easy to keep a vigilant eye on CMWs, LHWs, LHSs, alongside covering all stakeholders including visiting and admitted patients, vaccinators, community midwives, doctors, Taluka Health Coordinators and District Health officers.


She admitted that the act of monitoring and evaluation of employees of health department, including outreach teams and district staff on a day to day basis was a must. In doing so, the Health Department can work towards improving the healthcare delivery system of Sindh.


The Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare also stressed upon the concerned authorities to use modern technology to connect people living and performing in far flung areas.
