Welfare bodies mark Mental Health Day with awareness moot  

KARACHI: The Muhammadi Welfare Foundation and Haydari Benevolent Trust jointly organised an event to observe World Mental Health Day, focusing on raising awareness and encouraging collective efforts for positive societal change.

Sindh's Minister for Women Development Ms. Shaheena Sher Ali, speaking as the chief guest at the event underscored the importance of mental health and highlighted government initiatives aimed at its promotion.

The event was also attended by psychologists, social leaders, and individuals from various fields committed to advancing mental health awareness.

Dr. Shahla Gul Shah, Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital, emphasized the necessity of mental health care in all aspects of life, advocating increased public awareness on the issue.

Both bodies reaffirmed their commitment to bring a positive change in society through ongoing mental health awareness efforts.
