Applications open for Pak-France PERIDOT Research Programme

ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced that teachers at both public and private universities can now apply for the Pak-France PERIDOT Research Program (Phase XI).
PERIDOT, a Franco-Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Program, aims to promote collaboration between Pakistani and French researchers for joint projects.
In Pakistan, the program is managed by HEC, while in France, it is overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
The primary objective of PERIDOT is to promote scientific and technological cooperation between higher education institutions (HEIs) and research laboratories in both countries, facilitating researchers’ mobility.
HEC invites joint research proposals from faculty members of Pakistani universities in three key areas: Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Climate Change; Agriculture, Food Security, and Health; and Entrepreneurship, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Applications must be submitted online through the HEC portal by October 1. It is mandatory for applicants to have a joint application submitted to Campus France in collaboration with a French faculty member prior to applying for the grant.
For more details about the programme, interested individuals can visit the HEC PERIDOT Programme website.
