ISLAMABAD: The members of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination have filed a vote of no confidence against Mohammad Humayun Mohmand, SSC chairman, due to legislation that was scheduled to be debated at the upcoming committee meeting.
The committee members claim that they have lost faith in the head of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination because he made a judgment without consulting them.
The committee was expected to examine two measures during their meeting, according to reports. First came the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Bill, followed by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Bill 2022.
The committee members voted unanimously to approve both legislation. Nevertheless, the chairman opposed the committee's decision and cancelled the meeting without a vote.
Therefore, the senators have proposed to introduce a vote of no confidence in the head of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination.
