Three `illegal’ blood banks sealed

KARACHI - Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA) in its ongoing campaign against illegal and unregistered blood banks has, so far, sealed three blood banks.

According to SBTA Secretary Dr Zahid Ansari, the three blood banks, namely Mehtab, Ali and Indus pathology blood banks were functioning unlawfully in Taluka Johi of District Dadu.

He said that the campaign against illegal and unregistered blood banks was launched on the orders of Sindh health minister for ensuring provision of safe blood to patients.
