SGCH Staff Deprived of Monthly Salaries

KARACHI- The staff of Sindh Government Children Hospital (SGCH), North Karachi, hasn’t been paid their salaries, due to shortage of funds, which in result is causing grave hardships for the staff members of SGCH.

Sources at Child Hospital, North Karachi informed that more than 350 staff members, including doctors, paramedical staff , nurses, and other administrative officials, who are working under Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI); a non-governmental organization, SGCH, are deprived of their salaries of two months, as Sindh Health Department has not released a budget yet, for the health facility.

The hospital runs under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model of Sindh Government.

 

Hospital’s management explained that, all concerned members of Sindh Health Department have already received their salaries, but the staff under PEI, has clearly been neglected.

 

Chief Executive Officer, Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI), SGCH, Dr. Fatima, was not available for comments regarding the matter.
