Dr Azhar Mughal appointed Dean of Basic Medical Sciences JSMU

KARACHI: Professor Dr Muhammad Azhar Mughal, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacology at Sindh Medical College- Jinnah Sindh Medical University, has been appointed as the Dean of Basic Medical Sciences at JSMU. 

According to the letter issued by the Department of Universities and Boards, with the approval of Chief Minister Sindh, Professor Muhammad Azhar Mughal has been appointed as the Dean Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences-JSMU for three years. Prof Muhammad Azhar Mughal is a Grade 21 Professor and PhD Fellow in Pharmacology. He joined Jinnah Sindh Medical University in 2016. Before that, he was serving as a professor at Dow University. 

Professor Mughal is also a member of the American Diabetes Association since 2004 and has published more than 40 research papers in local and international journals. 

Vice Chancellor Prof Amjad Siraj Memon has congratulated Prof Mughal on his appointment as Dean of Basic Medical Sciences and expressed hope that he will fulfil his responsibility effectively.
