LAHORE: A meeting with the officers of health department was presided over by Hamza Shahbaz, Chief Minister of Punjab, who urged hospitals to take steps to provide a wide range of services for the general public.

It's been reported that Punjab's Chief Minister also instructed the health sector to treat the common person with the utmost dignity in government hospitals. CM Hamza Shahbaz also ordered a detailed plan for providing free medicine to the masses. The anti-dengue squads should also be mobilized, according to the Chief Minister.

It's worth noting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif just issued an executive order requiring free medicine to be distributed to all public hospitals in Punjab.
Shehbaz Sharif further declared that no costs should be levied on patients receiving treatment in government facilities.
On top of that, the Prime Minister mandated that cancer patients in every government hospital in the province receive free medicine as part of his executive order.
