Pakistan's first international conference on sports surgery

KARACHI: The Pakistan Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery Society (PASSS), in collaboration with Pakistan Orthopedic Association (POA), is holding the "First International Pak SPORTSCON 2022." The subject conference will be held from 11th to 13th March 2022, at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Bhurban, Pakistan.

The President Pakistan Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery Society (PASSS), Dr Khalid Mahmud Shah, said that PASSS was established with the aim to develop arthroscopy and sports surgery in Pakistan and is fully committed to the growth and development of the orthopaedic fraternity, Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery in Pakistan.

Speaking to the audience, Chairman 1st International Pak SportsCon Dr Zahid Askar said, "I am honoured to be the Chair of this Conference and utilise this platform for exchanging knowledge and research in the field of Arthroscopy and Sports medicine. I am blessed with the opportunity to help others who might be struggling with issues related to sports injuries".

Dr Masood Umer, Chair Scientific Committee, highlighted the unique features of the conference like state of the art lectures hands-on skill workshops on Arthroscopic techniques and sports surgery. In his view, this conference would promote capacity building for improving the educational part of our continuing medical education program for orthopaedic surgeons and related specialists. 

The scientific committee, in this regard, welcomes clinical papers on sports and exercise-related research as well as other items concerning athletes and patients health, well-being, care and treatment of various diseases and injuries.
