Punjab Govt to introduce CyberKnife technology in Lahore, Multan

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has approved the use of CyberKnife Technology at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore and Nishtar Hospital in Multan.

Under the supervision of Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, a high-level meeting was conducted in which it was decided to implement cyber knife technology in Jinnah Hospital Lahore and Nishtar Hospital Multan.

CM Pervaiz Elahi stated that difficult ailments such as Cancer and other disorders would be treated for free using CyberKnife Technology. He added that clinicians in both hospitals would be trained in using CyberKnife technology.

According to him, the Punjab government has incorporated the treatment of current surgery technology cyberknife into its health care program and has now chosen to implement cyberknife at the province's major hospitals. He stated that technological advancements would provide patients with enormous convenience.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also approved the incorporation of a cyberknife, a new surgical device, into the health card scheme.
