The Administrator issued directions to the fire department, the rescue unit, and other organizations.
Municipal Commissioner Syed Afzal Zaidi, Deputy Commissioner East Tariq, Senior Director Municipal Services Mazhar Khan, and Fire Brigade Department officers were also present.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab told the media that the fire in the building has been brought under control, but that there are still issues owing to the structure's ongoing smoke emission.
According to him, the entire structure has been evacuated, and all 170 residents have been saved. Apparently, one person was killed and another was injured.
The fire broke out in the store's basement, and the fire department responded promptly upon receiving the call. The fire was put out by eight fire engines, two firearms, two bows, Rescue 1122, and representatives of law enforcement organizations. Administrator stated that fire department personnel will be there till the situation is under control.
The inhabitants of the building and the locals are collaborating actively, and it is hoped that the situation will be brought under control as quickly as possible.
He conducted a thorough building inspection and met with the inhabitants.
The Administrator of Karachi praised the efforts of the fire brigade and stated that protecting the lives and property of citizens at the risk of their own life is both a duty and a service to the populace.
