PMDC’s Exam Results: 25% Foreign Graduates Remain Unsuccessful

Islamabad : Approximately, three-fourths of the foreign medical and dental graduates, who recently appeared for Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) registration examination, were declared unsuccessful due to scoring less than passing marks.

PMDC’s NEB examination Step-II was held in collaboration with National University of Medical Science Rawalpindi.

As per PMDC’s guidelines, all Pakistani nationals having foreign medical and dental qualifications have to pass the PMDC National Examination Board (NEB) exam, in order to practice in the country.

A total of 1,698 Pakistani graduates from China, Afghanistan, Russia, Central Asia and Cuba appeared in the examination but, around 400 graduates couldn’t clear as per criteria, resulting in passing percentage at around 76%.

The failed candidates can apply for re evaluation of examination papers within a time frame of certain days, allotted by PMDC.
