Rescue 1122 employee saves a girl after she swallows an ornament

RAWALPINDI: A rescue 1122 employee safeguarded the life of a one-year-old female adolescent recently in Rawalpindi, Punjab.

Madina, a one-year-old girl, had consumed a pendant, which was wonderfully removed from her throat by Tauqeer Ahmed, a paramedic technician with the emergency unit. According to paramedics, the toddler, a native of Morgah, mistook the jewellery for a toy and began playing with it before swallowing it. Fayyaz Ahmed, her father, requested an emergency service as her condition worsened and carried her outside to wait for it.

Simultaneously, a bystander on the scene assessed the situation's gravity and alerted Rescue 1122. Moments after, the rescue crew arrived on the site, and Tauqeer Ahmed began administering first aid to the girl while on his way to the healthcare facility.

While attempting to remove the pendant, the technician used his specialized competency to assist the girl in continuing to breathe. Gradually, the personnel was able to remove the ornament from her throat and restore her respiration. Madina was later sent to a health centre for further attention, where she was reported to be in perfect health.

The girl's father and relatives applauded the Rescue 1122 technician and the entire team for their quick response in saving the girl.
