KARACHI: The students of Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) recently staged a protest against the Karachi University (KU) and the KMDC administration at the Karachi Press Club over not conducting their examinations on time.
Around 150 male and female students participated in the protest. The protesters tried to enter the red zone to record their protest; however, law enforcement agencies foiled students’ attempts.
The protesters chanted slogans against KU and KMDC administration. They alleged that the examinations of medical students had been delayed due to the incompetency of these two institutions. They said that the KMDC’s negligence had ruined one year of study for medical students.
They demanded the KU and KMDC management to hold exams online or physically under the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to save the precious time of the students.
