According to a press release issued by the Media and Communication Department of PRC-Sindh, an emergency meeting was held at the provincial headquarters of the Pakistan Red Crescent in Karachi, and it was decided to immediately send relief supplies to the areas affected by heavy rainfall and flooding.
Kanwar Waseem, Provincial Secretary of PRC-Sindh, who presided over the meeting, announced that a large number of relief items, such as stoves, hygiene kits for children and women, mosquito nets, kitchen sets, jerry cans, tarpaulin sheets, hurricane lamps, shelter tool kits, blankets, jackets, water filters, shawls, buckets, and so on, are being sent to Thatta, Badin, and Dadu, where
Kanwar Waseem stated that PRC-Sindh is sending a volunteer technical team to the district of Jhal Magsi to assist the Balochistan Red Crescent in installing a water purification system that would offer thousands of litres of clean drinking water per day to the flood-affected population.
The meeting was attended by the Disaster Management Manager, the First Aid Coordinator, the Transport Officer, the Emergency Response Officer, the Emergency Operation Center Officer, the Media and Communication Officer, the Finance Manager, and other pertinent personnel.
