QUETTA: Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, ordered National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to release the aid within 24 hours.
About 300 people, including 124 from Balochistan, have succumbed to the floods. The federal government would pay Rs. 10 lakh to the family of the deceased. Additionally, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered an increase in aid for damaged homes.
Previously, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Quetta. Later he visited the flood-affected areas in Chaman, a camp set up for flood victims in the Qila Saifullah district. On the way, the Chairman of NDMA gave a briefing on rescue relief and relief operations.
