KARACHI: Vaccines against lumpy skin disease have arrived in Karachi, Pakistan, thanks to a shipment from Turkey.
Skin nodules and other nodules appear in cattle with lumpy skin disease, which is an infectious, eruptive, and occasionally lethal condition.
Initially, the Sindh government requested four million tablets from a Turkish pharmaceutical manufacturer to fight the lumpy skin disorder.
In the coming week, Karachi will receive the remaining doses.
One million doses of the vaccine were imported from Turkey in the initial shipment.
