SIUT rushes teams to the flood-affected areas

KARACHI: The country's renowned tertiary medical care institution, Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), has dispatched two medical teams to flood-hit areas to assist vulnerable and impacted populations.

Uthal, Lasbela district has a full-fledged medical team consisting of doctors, specialists, and paramedical personnel who attend to patients and administer treatment. 

Patients were primarily affected by malaria, diarrhoea, respiratory infections, fever, and diabetes. They were given immediate medical coverage, and the necessary medications were distributed on the spot.

The same team of doctors, specialists, and support workers has travelled to the provinces of Sukkur and Larkana. The impacted populace in this region turned out in large numbers. 

Most reported patients were diagnosed with dengue, skin illnesses, high fever, anaemia, and astrological disorders.
