JPMC lodged FIR against doctors who assaulted Shahid Rasool

KARACHI: An FIR had been lodged against Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre’s doctors for allegedly attacking Prof Shahid Rasool, Executive Director and Vice-Chancellor, Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU).

According to Dr Ajmal Yousafzai, Spokesman, JPMC, Prof Shahid Rasool was present in his ward no. 21. He was talking to his patient. Suddenly bitter rhetoric was started by Dr Munawar Dhani, Dr Bahadur Shah and Dr Venesh, Dr Kaleem Khoso, Dr KB Khoso and they were shouted and tried to manhandle Prof Shahid Rasool. Afterwards, security guards came and rescued Prof Shahid Rasool.

The hospital administration sought police security from Sindh Health Department and requested an FIR against the culprits.
