SIALKOT: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif highlighted concerns about the career paths of female medical graduates during his address at the convocation of GC Women University in Sialkot. He noted that while 73 percent of girls enter the medical profession, only 17 percent actually practice. He urged graduates not to remain idle after obtaining their degrees, emphasizing the importance of utilizing their knowledge to contribute positively to society. Minister Asif expressed disappointment that many female doctors, despite the significant investment of public funds in their education, choose to become housewives. He called for a shift in mindset, encouraging families to value education for its societal impact rather than solely as a means for marriage prospects.
