KARACHI: The Patients’ Welfare Association (PWA) recently hosted its 2nd Alumni Reunion at the Moin Auditorium at the Dow Medical College (DMC). Founding members of the PWA, including Dr Amin Chinoy, Dr Shabi Ahmed, Dr Abdul Bari, and others, were present in occasion.
A large crowd attended the event, including consultants, doctors, postgraduates, and medical graduates. The Medical professionals from the Dow Medical College (DMC) and the founders of the PWA who, along with other fellow doctors, were currently serving in different parts of the world.
At the event, the PWA volunteers presented their 41-year success journey to the participants.
The purpose of this event was to connect all the Dow alumni associated with the PWA in the past years. The event aimed in utilizing their expedients to gather new contributors on board. These contributors would be able to help the PWA in making its operational services smooth and indelible to underprivileged patients.
The volunteers thanked their valued sponsors for making the reunion a success and appreciated their generous deed for a noble cause.
It was stated that the PWA was the largest student-run, non-profitable, non-political welfare organization working in the Civil Hospital Karachi. The organization was operated entirely by the students of the Dow Medical College.
