MN Report

Karachi: Shortly after receiving Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the airport, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Monday morning rushed to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) for medical check-up.
The chief minister, a patient of a heart condition known as “supra-ventricularatic cardia,” while waiting for the PM at the airport, noticed sudden and unusual surge in his heart beat, an official of the CM House said, adding that at this stage, it was decided that instead of accompanying the PM to Port Qasim, as per schedule, the CM should undergo essential assessment.
Qaim Ali Shah during his around one and a half hour stay at the NICVD had required tests.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani said that CM Qaim Ali Shah could not attend meetings where Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was present because of his illness.
He told newsmen that Qaim Ali Shah had informed PM that he was not feeling well and will not attend the meetings.

Senator Ghani was of the opinion that PM should have appreciated the CM for curbing terrorism under the National Action Plan rather than be thankful to DG Rangers, IG Sindh and chief secretary because the actual captain of NAP in Sindh is Qaim Ali Shah. “PPP is part of NAP and we do not want to make it controversial,” he added.
