4th Pakistan Healthcare Summit by Consumer Association of Pakistan

KARACHI:   Consumer Association of Pakistan recently held the 4th Pakistan Healthcare Summit at Marriott Hotel, Karachi.

Dr Asim Hussain, Chairman, Dr Ziauddin Group of Hospitals, was the Chief Guest. Among the guests of honour were Khairul Nazran Abdul Rehman, Consul General of Malaysia, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Consul General of Morocco, Dr Farhan Essa, CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Essa Laboratory, Dr Seemin Jamali, Former Executive Director, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Dr Najam Saqib, Additional Director, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, Assadullah Lark, Additional Collector, Pakistan Customs, Jawad Amin, Managing Director, Zafa Pharma.

Guest speakers included Dr Mehnaj A. Qidwai, Former CEO, Sindh Healthcare Commission, Brig. Azhar Manzoor, Group Head Corporate Affairs, Dr Ziauddin Hospital University, Brig. (R) Malik Waqar Awan, CEO, Memon Medical Institute Hospital, Brig (R) Tariq Bangash, Medical Specialist & Consultant, Apna Dialysis Kohat, Johari Manhal, Regional Manager, Malaysian Palm Oil Board, Saleem Khan, DGM, Exide Pakistan.

Discussions on various health topics were made, in which various doctors, surgeons, physicians expressed their views on health-related topics. Kaukab Iqbal, Chairman, Consumer Association of Pakistan, said that the summit had been organised for the last three years on the topic of healthcare to educate consumers about the medical sector and other growing diseases.
