22 more dengue fever cases detected in Karachi

KARACHI - At least 22 more dengue viral fever cases were reported in the city in a week, increasing the number of patients afflicted with the disease to 723 in 2015.

According to data released by Sindh Dengue Prevention and Control Programme, 22 more dengue fever cases were detected in the city in the 30th week and the total number of cases has soared to 723 since Jan 1, 2015.

It further added that of the total 749 dengue fever cases reported in Sindh since January 2015, 723 were detected in Karachi, while remaining cases were reported from other parts of the province. Three people have, so far, died from dengue fever in the city this year.

Around 31 dengue fever cases were reported from Baluchistan.
