KARACHI: Senior Director, Medical & Health Survives Department, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Dr Birbal Genani, directed the heads and medical superintendents of hospitals to prepare contingency plans to cater to the expected heatstroke emergency in Karachi.
Senior Director, M&HSD, KMC, Dr Birbal Genani, on the directives of the Mayor of Karachi and the Director of the Local Government, said that necessary instructions have already been issued to the medical superintendents and heads of health facilities to provide contingency plans in accordance with the expected emergency.
He stated that all the heads of hospitals/institutions had been directed to send a Duty Roster and allocate beds for the upcoming heatstroke-related emergency.
The medical superintendents of hospitals have been further instructed to nominate individuals for the heatstroke from their respective hospitals who will act as the focal persons during expected heatstroke emergency.
